Vintage folk art

Thin, natural, straw collage or wood marquetry (the art of setting thin plates of wood or veneer into a surface).

Usually bamboo or wheat straw strands to achieve different colors and textures (3D).

Set on a black felt background and in a wood frame.

Originating through the 1950's-1970's.

Many different cultures use this type of art, these particular ones resemble a Slovic style, which is shown in the character's hats and footwear 

One piece may be interpreted and/or resemble a fairy tale such as Cinderella.  

Individual prices range from $200-$350. A set of three is around $1500-$2000.
